Milton Friedman: Defender of Free Markets: The Future for Investors - Yahoo! Finance
Another obit from another friend of Milton Friedman. Jeremy Siegel worked with Friedman at the Univeristy of Chicago. He notes that Friedmans most important work was showing how a poor economic situation was turned into a depression in the 1930's because the central bank failed to act. Friedman's legacy will be that of showing how free markets and free people lead to economic prosperity.

Lessons from an Economic Maestro: How Not to Ruin Your Life
Lessons from an Economic Maestro: How Not to Ruin Your Life - Yahoo! Finance
Interesting piece by Ben Stein about Milton Friedman's legacy and how it applies to today. I had no idea Ben and Milton knew each other. Its a good read if you have a few minutes.
We will miss Milton Friedman.

How to Beat Hedge Funds
How to Beat Hedge Funds - December 1, 2006
Great article by one of my favorite columinsts, Jason Zweig.
He opines about why Hedge Funds aren't all they are cracked up to be. While Hedge funds have been the investment du jour of the past few years, they are not a good idea for the average person. In fact, Hedge funds aren't that great a deal for wealthy people.
Don't fall prey to the "sexy" investments being sold today.

Kiplinger Retirement Report: Indexed Annuities: Too Good to be True?
I still have not changed my mind on these products and doubt I ever will. They are not appropriate for anyone in my opinion. I've never come across a situation where they were a wise solution.
Thank you Lynn for mentioning my name in the article!
